Electrical Engineer II

This position supports existing generation, transmission, and distribution infrastructure, prepares technical specifications for procurement, and provides engineering oversight during construction, maintenance, and restoration activities. Salary: Starting at $111,291+/year, depending on experience and qualifications

Work location: Talbot County, Maryland
Essential Job Functions:
- Design, review, and approve electrical utility installations, including substations, distribution systems, and power generation facilities
- Conduct system studies and assessments to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
- Develop technical specifications, bid documents, and evaluations for electrical equipment and materials
- Provide technical support during equipment installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Support system restoration efforts during adverse weather or emergency conditions
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, including NESC and NFPA
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience Level: Senior level
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
License: Maryland Professional Engineer license required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in power plant, transmission, and distribution system design and operations
- Knowledge of power generation systems and equipment up to 69kV
- Proficient in NESC, NFPA, and experience with protective relays, PLCs, and SCADA control systems
- Valid driver’s license
Schedule: Day shift, on call as needed for emergencies
