Accounts Payable Clerk

A Talbot County office is looking for a for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support their finance team by processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring accurate, on-time payments. The AP Clerk is essential to maintaining smooth financial operations and strong vendor relationships. The position will start out temporary and has the potential to become permanent with benefits for the right candidate.
Salary: $37,970 - $46,245/yearly, depending on experience
Work location: Easton, Maryland
Essential Job Functions:- Review and verify invoices and payment documents
- Post and reconcile transactions in the general ledger
- Resolve discrepancies and communicate with vendors
- Prepare payments and maintain AP records
- Support month-end close, audits, and compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience Level: Associate Level
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required- 2-3 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience
- Strong excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
