Electrical Engineer I

The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for the design, coordination, and testing of new electrical installations and supporting existing infrastructures. As the Electrical Engineer I, you must have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam and have your PE license or have the ability to obtain. Salary: Starting at $92,742+/year, depending on experience and qualifications

Work location: Talbot County, Maryland
Essential Job Functions:- Design, coordinate, and test new electrical installations
- Support operations for existing power generation, transmission, and distribution systems
- Write specifications for electrical purchases and assist in the repair of electrical facilities when needed
- Participate in system restoration efforts during outages and weather emergencies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience Level: Mid-Senior level
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
License: Maryland Professional Engineer license preferred or the ability to obtain- At least 1 year of experience power plant, transmission, and distribution of electrical system design and operation
- Familiar with equipment rated to 69KV
- Knowledge of protective relays, PLC, and SCADA control systems required
- Proficient in NESC and NFPA codes and standards
- Valid driver’s license required
Schedule: Day shift, on call as needed for emergencies
