Traffic Operations Supervisor

The Traffic Operations Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic around infrastructure projects. The Traffic Operations Supervisor oversees the implementation of traffic management plans, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on traffic control experience and the ability to manage crews across multiple regions.
Salary: $95,000k+ / year, based on experience

Work Location: Queen Anne’s County, Maryland
Essential Job Functions:- Supervise daily operations of traffic control crews (10-15 employees)
- Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices in compliance with safety standards
- Inspect sites and report road hazards or safety violations and monitor safe, compliant traffic flow patterns
- Coordinate scheduling and dispatch of personnel and implement emergency response procedures during roadway incidents
- Operate and transport traffic control signs, cones, and barriers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience Level: Mid-Senior Level
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, additional education in transportation is a plus
Certifications: ATSSA Traffic Control Manager Certification required, OSHA 30 safety certification preferred- Ability to manage and supervise up to 15 employees daily
- Knowledge of scheduling and dispatching traffic control operations
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic control, construction, or related field
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexible to work AM/PM shifts, overnight, weekends, and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Schedule: Flexible schedule to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, overnights 1-4x a month
