Neighborhood Service Center Announces New Name Effective Nov. 1
 
Neighborhood Service Center of Talbot County will become Neighborhood Services of Talbot on Nov. 1, 2026, adopting a new name and logo that reflect the breadth of its services and its countywide reach.
 
The organization’s mission, programs, and commitment to residents will continue through the transition.
 
Talbot County’s designated Community Action Agency has helped residents meet urgent needs and work toward greater stability since 1969. Its services include food assistance, housing support, energy assistance, youth programs, free tax preparation, and other resources for individuals and families.
 
“Our new name reflects who we have become as an organization and the community we proudly serve,” said Executive Director Andy Hollis. “Every day, we meet people where they are, helping families overcome barriers and build stronger futures. Neighborhood Services of Talbot better communicates the breadth of that work while honoring the legacy we’ve built since 1969.”
 
The organization’s board and leadership team developed the new identity to better represent its work throughout Talbot County. A social media campaign that began Sept. 25 has introduced the new name and highlighted the people, programs, and partnerships behind its services.
 
“Our Board recognized that our name should reflect the full scope of the work happening every day throughout Talbot County,” said Board Chairman Chuck Callahan, who also serves as president of the Talbot County Council. “This organization has earned the trust of our community through decades of compassionate service. The new name honors that legacy while positioning Neighborhood Services of Talbot for continued growth and impact.”
