For All Seasons Offers Lunch & Learn About What NASA Teaches Us About Hope, Purpose, and Thriving
On Wednesday, November 11, from noon to 1:30 p.m., For All Seasons Center for Learning will offer a free Lunch & Learn, What NASA Can Teach Us About Hope, Purpose, and Thriving, at its location at 111 E. Dover Street in Easton.
International researcher and author Dr. Jeff Thompson will share how the same psychological qualities that help astronauts thrive in the extreme environments of space can strengthen hope, purpose, and resilience in our lives. Drawing upon his research in suicide prevention, resilience, human performance, and his ongoing NASA-related work, Dr. Thompson will examine how building lives filled with meaning, connection, and hope is essential to supporting mental health and preventing suicide.
Participants will gain practical, research-informed strategies and a renewed perspective on how we can move beyond surviving life's challenges to truly thriving. The workshop is open to health professionals, educators, veterans, first responders, community leaders, employers, students, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning these practical strategies.
