• Easton Choral Arts is ''Calling All Singers!''

Easton Choral Arts begins rehearsing for its December Concerts at its new rehearsal and performance venue. The group’s activities will now be held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 100 Peachblossom Road in Easton. Open Invitation rehearsals for new singers will be held from 6:30 to 9pm on Tuesday, September 2nd and 9th.
'Following last season’s sold out December concert and the overwhelmingly glowing response to last spring’s concert of “Creation” by Dan Forrest, Easton Choral Arts Society (ECAS) is growing, to welcome new singers and to accommodate more audience members.

From Artistic Director Alexis Ward, “Our upcoming December concert, “A Winter Rose” is a celebration of beauty in all its forms - musical, seasonal, and symbolic. This program brings together some of the most breathtaking choral music of the holiday season, with something for everyone: sacred classics, haunting winter ballads, joyful carols, and a touch of vintage holiday sparkle. It’s a concert full of warmth and wonder.” 
 
“With more space in the rehearsal room and on the risers, we are so excited to be able welcome even more members to our ECAS family” said Easton Choral Arts Board President Emily Moody. She highlights the unique opportunities provided by ECAS’ Choral Scholar Program, which offers eligible middle and high school students the opportunity to participate in weekly rehearsals and concerts, receiving high quality musical instruction and experience.

ECAS hosts two open rehearsals at the beginning of the season to give all interested singers the opportunity to experience the choir prior to committing to the season. All are welcome to attend, regardless of musical knowledge or experience. Auditions are no longer required, and members do not need to know how to read music in order to join. Preregistration is requested, to ensure we have enough copies of the music.
