St. Michaels Community Center (SMCC) has long been a cornerstone of compassion, connection, and community in Bay Hundred—bringing neighbors together through essential services, youth programs, and meaningful outreach. With a steadfast commitment to strengthening the lives of individuals and families, SMCC continues to grow in ways that directly reflect the needs of the community it serves.
Now, SMCC is thrilled to celebrate the purchase of a new building that marks an exciting new chapter in its mission. The first phase of renovations will unveil the new home of the Treasure Cove Thrift Store, creating a vibrant, welcoming retail space that supports SMCC’s programs and outreach. Future phases will introduce expanded programming space, a dedicated teen hangout, and the only laundromat in Bay Hundred—providing critical access and gathering space for the community.
This milestone represents more than a new building—it’s an investment in opportunity, dignity, and connection for generations to come. Join us as we celebrate this exciting expansion and the continued impact of SMCC in Bay Hundred and beyond.
Light refreshments will be served from the SMCC kitchen, featuring bite-sized selections such as cheese and crackers, dips, and other small bites.
Beer, wine, and soft drinks will also be available for guests to enjoy.
