    For over 40 years, the Caroline County Council of Arts has served the residents of Caroline County by pursuing our mission to: • Enhance the cultural opportunities and access to the arts in each of the County’s unique communities • Promote economic development and downtown revitalization through the arts • Inspire creativity and personal development by supporting arts education programs in our schools and communities Position Opening: Program Administrator / Executive Assistant A full-time position working 35-40 hours per week. Minimum $40K salary plus health care stipend and IRA benefits. Responsible for assisting the Executive Director of the Caroline County Council of Arts (CCCA). Responsibilities include the following: 1) Helping with the creation and implementation of unique arts programming (classes, events, etc.) 2) Assisting in the general administration of programs, grants, meetings, projects, events, etc. 3) Overseeing CCCA communications including website, social media, newsletters, etc. 4) Checking and following up on mail, email, phone calls, social media messages, etc. 5) Create original documents and update existing files using Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Google. 6) Capable of taking quality photographs and video and uploading to website, social media, YouTube 7) Managing The Foundry art gallery, including retail sales, inventory, supplies, etc. 8) Coordinating and administering volunteers, instructors, artists and participants The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as a team player. Must be extremely attentive to details, provide above-and-beyond customer service, and a multi-tasking extraordinaire. The individual serving this role should be outgoing, positive, innovative, organized, and eager to learn with a creative spirit. Must be responsive and efficient in accomplishing tasks in timely manner and flexible to pivot on the fly. A passion for the arts, serving the community, and positive inclusive attitude will go a long way as well! Must be active on social media. MailChimp, Wordpress and Graphic design skills score extra points. College degree or equivalent experience required. Experience in business administration, marketing and/or media management highly valued. There are physical requirements for this position, including hanging artwork, general cleaning duties, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Hours of position are five days per week, with some Saturdays required. Remote working may be allowed in temporary, extenuating circumstances only. Flexibility to attend meetings (both in-person & Zoom) outside of normal business hours may be required several times per month.
