• Part-Time Math Tutor

    The Math Tutor will provide support to individuals and small groups of students from diverse backgrounds. Many of these students will need support in fundamental concepts necessary for mastery of middle and high school level math.

    The Math Tutor will need to be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-5:30 pm for in-person tutoring, and Monday and Wednesday afternoons and evenings for online, on-demand tutoring. The Math Tutor will also need to be available one Saturday per month from 9 am-12 pm for MSS workshops. The Math Tutor is responsible for supporting the overall workshop (topics vary by week) and helping develop the math portions as defined by the Curriculum Manager.

    Applicants should have experience teaching and/or tutoring students in secondary math and have a strong understanding of Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Applicants should also be familiar with online meeting platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. 

    This is a part-time, temporary position, guaranteed through June 1, 2022. Renewal is contingent upon organizational needs. 


    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    Previous tutoring or teaching experience is required. An undergraduate degree and experience in mathematics or other math-oriented discipline is preferred.
