DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Talbot County Department of Economic Development and Tourism\, in partnership with the Talbot County Economic Development Commission\, the event awards businesses\, projects\, and individuals who have made a significant impact in the community in the past year.\n\nThis year's event features Johnathan Holifield\, author of The Future Economy and Inclusive Competitiveness. A former NFL football player\, Holifield is a lawyer and has served as a White House advisor on HBCUs.\n\nThe breakfast and awards presentation begins at 8 a.m. at the Tidewater Inn's Gold Ballroom and will be followed by a reception for USDA Rural Development State Director David Baker at The Bullitt House\, across the street from the Tidewater Inn.\n\nTickets for the breakfast are $45 per person. Space is limited and advance purchase is required.\n\nGuests can also participate in a round table discussion on diversity\, equity\, and inclusion led by Mr. Holifield at 11:30 a.m. at the Building African American Minds Athletic Center located at 31 Jowite Street. This portion of the summit is free and open to the public.
