SUMMARY:September 11 Remembrance Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Talbot County Government\, in partnership with local municipalities and public safety agencies\, will hold a remembrance ceremony marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11\, 2001\, terrorist attacks.\n\nThe annual ceremony honors the lives lost on September 11 and recognizes the first responders and others who put their lives in peril in service to others. The program will include remarks from County and municipal leaders\, patriotic musical selections\, a moment of silence and tolling of the bells\, and the presentation of a memorial wreath.\n\n\n\n \n\nTalbot County Council President Chuck Callahan and Easton Mayor Megan Cook will provide greetings\;  Council Member Keasha Haythe will serve as master of ceremonies. The ceremony will also feature representatives from local law enforcement\, fire and rescue\, emergency services\, and community organizations.\n\nThe program will conclude with the presentation of the wreath\, "Lift Every Voice and Sing\," a benediction\, and a postlude by the Easton Middle School Band.
