Public Relations Seminar at Talbot County Chamber of Commerce
Public relations will be discussed Wednesday, Feb. 24, in a free seminar at the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce conference room. Steve Bailey, a former editor at top newspapers who now works in Talbot County as a communications consultant, will speak on what public relations can do, what it can't do, and how to earn media attention for an organization or business.
The seminar, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., will focus on how public relations can benefit non-profit organizations as well as businesses. Bailey, who also teaches journalism and public relations at Salisbury University, advises non-profits and small businesses on the Mid-Shore on how to reach various segments of the public.
"Good public relations - whether it's press releases, brochures or advice during a crisis - can give a business an edge," Bailey said, "and for non-profits, public relations can be the difference between thriving and closing down."
Space is limited. To reserve a seat, call the Chamber at 410-822-4653 or email info@talbotchamber.org. |
