December 11: Christmas in St. Michaels - Christmas in St. Michaels is an annual holiday celebration held the second weekend in December. A black tie benefit gala kicks off the weekend festivals that include a festive parade, Breakfast with Santa, Santa's Wonderland for the children, tours of local historic homes and buildings, allowing visitors to savor the history of this charming town. These signature events are enhanced with plenty of good food and seasonal music, art, antiques and book sales.
December 11: Moonlight Madness Sale - Participating downtown Easton businesses will offer special discounts, music and holiday cheer with stores open until 10 PM. The drawings will take place at the Avalon Theatre at 10 PM. Ticket collection and entertainment will begin at 9 PM. You must be present to win.

December 12: Open Mic - Holiday Readins - The Eastern Shore Writers Association will hold an annual public reading of prose and poetry on December 12, 2009, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Third Haven Meeting House, in Easton, MD. The meeting is free and open to the public, with coffee, tea, cider, and water provided. Members may wish to bring holiday cookies to share, and add to the country-themed decorations by wearing holiday vests and sweaters.
